I gave someone a code or password
Lock the account before they use it.
Free for everyone. If you are in danger right now, call 911.
1.Change that password now
Open the official app or type the website address yourself. Change the password and choose "sign out of all devices" if offered. If you reuse that password anywhere else, change it there too.
2.If it was a bank or payment code, call your bank
Use the number on the back of your card. Ask them to block new payments and check recent activity.
3.Turn on stronger sign-in
Use an authenticator app or a passkey instead of text-message codes where you can.
4.Check recovery details
Make sure the recovery email and phone number on the account are still yours, and remove anything you do not recognise.
5.If new accounts were opened in your name
Get a step-by-step recovery plan and freeze your credit.
